AAMA
VAP Global Industries holds a certification by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). AAMA has become recognized around the world for the development of standards that provide third-party validation of product performance and quality by developing the highest level of technical expertise and to support member companies with business services, market research and marketing programs that contributes to its members’ success and profitability. The AAMA Certification Label on a product tells customers that a sample of that product has been verified as conforming to the requirements of AAMA’s standards through independent laboratory testing and follow-up on-site inspection of the manufacturer's production line. AAMA's ANSI-accredited Certification Program, the original third party, window performance verification program, has provided manufacturers with the means to independently demonstrate product performance. Since then, AAMA Certification has grown to encompass a wide range of windows and door products that are tested according to the following standards: AAMA/NWWDA 101/I.S. 2-97, AAMA/WDMA 101/I.S.2/NAFS-02, and AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S. 2/A440-04.
AAMA’s window and door specifications serve as the cornerstone for an interlocking system of third-party product performance certification and quality control to establish a uniquely credible total-quality management system. These stringent and comprehensive industry standards define basic performance requirements for products made of aluminum, vinyl (PVC) ABS plastics, fibreglass and wood, as well as those products with aluminum- or vinyl-clad wood framing. Plus, they encompass the performance of vinyl, wood and aluminum windows and doors, but also the performance standards for window and door components like extrusions, glass, sealants and hardware. They define these standards for windows and doors for residential, commercial (both light and heavy), and architectural applications.
The AAMA Certificate demonstrates that our National membership is in good standing.
